Psychotherapy with Laurie


In response to the current need for physical distancing to protect the well-being of our communities, Laurie is providing online therapy via secure video conferencing. Under circumstances when Arkansas Department of Health guidelines are met, in-person sessions are available.

If you are feeling too overwhelmed to meet the challenges in your day to day life, and your quality of life isn’t what you want it to be, psychotherapy can help.  Psychotherapy is a collaborative process based on the relationship between an individual and a therapist. Although psychotherapy is often called talk therapy and is grounded in dialogue, it may also be action-oriented. Through this relationship, you can find the insight and support you need.

EMDR with Laurie

If you are one of the estimated 5.2 million Americans who suffer from symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), you may be a great candidate for EMDR. Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a psychotherapy approach designed for working with distressing or traumatic memories. The theory behind EMDR is that many psychological difficulties are the result of distressing life experiences that have not been stored in the memory properly and are said to be unprocessed or blocked. Individual Meditation Training with Laurie

In a series of one-on-one or small group sessions, Laurie will teach you mindfulness, a nonreligious form of meditation. We will explore practices that require dedicated time and attention as well as brief practices that can be done in moments and on-the-go. Upon completion of our work together, you will have a personalized meditation practice that will work for your lifestyle. Training is available in person or online.
